Lenni and her father Max live in an apartment, or a loft, above the bodega. Max annoys Eduardo Fernandez a good deal because of his need to practice his music. The loft is an instrumental setting in most Ghostwriter episodes.

The camera generally focused on the door. From that vantage point, the sitting area and electronic media are to the left, the kitchen to the right, and in the back of the kitchen are the bedrooms, an unseen area of the loft.
