In the Ghostwriter book Doubletalk: Codes, Signs, and Symbols, Rob had written a mini-story about Galaxy Girl for Gaby, with a word link puzzle to go with it. The story had included some words in capital letters that would go into the word link.

Galaxy Girl was on the street in Brooklyn one day when a small, saucer-shaped spaceship suddenly landed in front of her. The hatch opened and out popped two tiny green people.

The first one turned to the second one. “Where are we?” it asked. “This looks like planet Quenzenflanj.”

The second creature pointed to a street sign. “You dummy! Can’t you read? We’re on Planet De Kalb Avenue.”

Galaxy Girl burst out laughing.

The tiny green creatures jumped. “Eep!” the first one squeaked. “It’s a talking mountain!”

“I’m not a mountain,” Galaxy Girl told them. “I’m Galaxy Girl. Welcome to Planet Earth!”
