Maxwell Joseph Frazier is Lenni's father in the series. Like his daughter, Max is an accomplished musician who plays the piano. He is also a good cook who makes strange dishes. Max even calls his daughter Lenni by the nickname "Bips."

Max and Lenni live in a loft apartment above the Fernandez's store (aka the bodega). He lost his wife Colleen (nee McDonald) and Lenni's mother prior to the series.

Television Show[]

At one time in the story arc "Get the Message", Max got in a heated argument with Mr. Fernandez due to an auto accident, which Mr. Fernandez had accidently ran into Max's fan, destroying his instruments. As Max's frequent playing was a source of annoyance for Mr. Fernandez, who in a moment of anger in the previous story arc had threatened to destroy the instruments, Max suspected this was intentional, and was prepared to sue.

All of this caused four of the team members to argue with each other as well. Max became concerned, because he did not want his problems to steer Lenni away from her friends. Eventually by the end of the story arc, everybody made up and stated talking to each other again, and the two fathers reached a compromise about how to pay for the damages.

Late in the second season, he started to develop a relationship with Sally Lewis, an energetic but good friend of Lenni's.

He tells the team that the manager had told everyone with similar tickets to leave the stadium. The team later discovers the thief, with clues from the score board.

Dress Code Mess[]

Lenni is quite angered over the new substitute principal at Hurston for installing a dress code. In protest, she chooses to wear some old clothes that had belonged her mother. Her father approves, stating that Lenni reminds him of his late wife. He also gives her two necklaces to wear to school for the protest.

Max later attends a school meeting, where Lenni shares her feelings about the code with the school, including the principal.

Steer Clear of Haunted Hill[]

Max takes the team and Grandma Jenkins to Hunt's Hill for a camping trip. Unfortunately for them, campers have been scared away from the site due to various accidents that seem to be connected with the horror legend of the camp, which is that the late previous owner and his dog are haunting the grounds.

The morning after they arrive at the campsite, Max goes on a hike by himself. When he does not return, the team goes to look for him. They eventually discover that he was trapped by a bolder in a chamber of a cave. They find out the the ones behind the prank, as well as the "hauntings", are Mr. Garth and his teenage son Kyle.

Clinton Street Crime Wave[]

Lenni and the team have discovered that a girl named Jade Clintock and her father, Joshua, are homeless.  They decide to help them, including getting Mr. Clintock a new job.  Lenni suggests that she could talk to her father about finding one with cooking, since Max often performs in concerts at restaurants.

She mentions Jade to her father at their loft, including that her mother had died.  Lenni then tells her idea about the job.  At first, Max is hesitant, stating that he does not do anything about the kitchen during the restaurants, and then that restaurant managers and cooks can be quite selective.  He then gives in, and later finds a job at Regina Bakery, which Mr. Clintock accepts.

Caught in the Net[]

Max announces that he and his friend Raphaella Halpern plan to become married, and Lenni and Raphaella's son, Ben are horrified. He attempts to convince Lenni that the engagement would be a positive thing. However, Lenni refuses to listen, convinced that Raphaella and her son are horrible and does not want to live with them.

Later, Max and Raphaella start arguing, and a short while after that, they announce to their children that they have called off the engagement. However, Lenni and Ben, having discovered that the other is not as rude as they had thought due to coincidentally talking to each other's handles on the internet, decide to remain in contact.
